Back To The… Past?
Fear no more and cease fire on the forums debating what Demoman’s newest weapons will be. Valve have recently released information (and surprised us) about two of the Demoman’s newest weapons, which are very unique none the less. The Eyelander is a sword that this black Scottish cyclops carries around with him on the battlefield, with the addition of killing enemies by cutting their heads off. The heads that you collect will apparently make you healthier and faster. However, information has not been released as to what the other two weapons or four if – when pigs fly – the Solder death toll rises in the next couple of days.
The sheild that the Demoman is holding above is the Chargin’ Targe. This will replace your sticky bomb launcher, with the addition of this weapon making you 50% more fire damage resistant and 65% more blast resistant (rocket damage and pipebomb/sticky bomb damage).
Both weapons are being used as a set – that is – that the Eyelander will not deal critical hits without the Chargin’ Targe being equiped.
So, what is everyone’s opinion about these new weapons? Is it worth the update and/or wait? Will the Demoman class no longer be underpowered with these weapons?
